As an IT Business Analyst, your typical day may involve:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 to 10+ years Business Analyst experience
  • 8 to 10+ years' experience in on-line industry and user interfacing applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Excellent interviewing and listening skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing process gaps and recommending best practice solutions
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in order to meet department goals in a fast paced dynamic atmosphere
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with multiple stake holders, while keeping group focused and on task
  • Proficient with Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio
  • Basic knowledge of data structures and relational databases, including ability to write simplistic SQL queries.
  • Experience with security projects and working with sensitive data is highly desirable
  • Experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS) a plus
  • Experience in Agile Software development methodology a plus
  • Meeting with business and IT users in requirements gathering/functional design sessions as well as capturing and publishing minutes from meetings
  • Creating required project documentation (Business Requirements documents, Functional design documents, testing scenarios, etc.), and maintaining project issues logs
  • Communicating with leadership on status of projects as well as assisting with maintaining project plans and interfacing with external vendors as required for project development
  • Triaging bugs and/or defects discovered by QA during testing
  • Participating in product launch and training activities
