Job Description

The basic function of this position is to work with the Product Development Organization in the development of business and stakeholder requirements. The incumbent will collaborate with members of various groups to identify the business needs and goals, research, elicit, and draft requirements as well as work directly with the Product Owner and Agile team on writing and vetting out User Stories and Epics.


  • Work with stakeholders to elicit business requirements and provide research and analysis to aid in solving complex business scenarios

  • Analyze, and prepare Requirements Documentation including but not limited to: Current and future state swim lane diagrams, defining business requirements, stakeholder requirements, business rules, data definitions, user stories and epics

  • Analyze artifacts including but not limited to: Architectural diagrams, process flows, use cases, user interface requirements, functional specifications, traceability matrix, technical writing documentation, and production support release documents

  • Ensures continuity of services by serving as a subject matter expert on business functionality and impact of system changes on multiple product platforms

  • Work directly with assigned Agile team and support the Product Owner with user stories, epics, User Acceptance Testing and Sign Off (UAT) and other project needs

  • Ability to review incoming requirements at the program level and work directly with assigned stakeholders

  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine go/no go decisions

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deal effectively with senior management, staff members, clients, and vendors including doing in person or WebEx presentations

  • Ability to demonstrate strong reasoning and analytical skills resulting in in-depth analysis of the operational and functional aspects of business and technical solutions

  • Understanding of Business Process Management, Business Process Design, and Change Management while serving as the subject matter expert on assigned projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, to include facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution, and the ability to write and present information in various forms; Ability to facilitate meetings, negotiate, influence, and build consensus

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Visio as well as proficient understanding of Outlook, Excel, Jira, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Experience and practical knowledge of Agile or Scrum as well as Waterfall project methodologies

  • Experience in writing test scripts, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assisting in overnight deployments for business representation as needed

  • Demonstrated self-direction and proactive approach and ability to think beyond the immediate problem

  • Excellent organizational, time management, writing and communication skills

  • Practical knowledge of web-based applications, digital technology. Ability to understand design and conceptual architecture documentation

  • Knowledge and experience with User Experience and Product Design a plus.

  • Experience with mock ups and wireframes



Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Graphics Design, English or related field preferred. Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Analysis covering the following analysis disciplines: product, enterprise, data, business process, reporting, system, and stakeholder. Two (2) years of payments/financial experience preferred.
