Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client looking for a Property Tax and Licensing Compliance Specialist for a contract role.

Our client is looking for candidates with business license experience. This role starts off working remotely.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Audit business licenses for all locations
  • Audit business licenses that are up for renewal for all locations
  • Conduct research to find legal requirements within various jurisdictions to determine which business license are required and how to obtain the license
  • Process applications to obtain necessary license and maintain compliance for new and existing offices
  • Assist in maintaining electronic files, database, and auditing systems
  • Provide quality customer service to support our personnel throughout the organization
  • Communicate effectively with our personnel, as well as individuals outside the company to resolve issues regarding business license and zoning
  • Other projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of business license process
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure, especially in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • MS Access experience is a plus
