We are looking for a Business Systems Analysis Manager who will play a critical role in serving as the interface between Investment IT and Investment Accounting teams. The ideal candidate must be able to focus on multiple aspects of the fixed income asset accounting systems and processes for the investments business including the design, implementation and support. We need a strong team player to partner with the Accounting team to sustainably build and implement that drive Investment Accounting core processes and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholder across Investments including the Accounting, Operations and IT teams to implement solutions that enhance, streamline and automate business processes
  • Drive to prioritization and stewardship of customer projects, goals and expectations
  • Possess a solid understand of Investments business processes to create technical specifications with data flows
  • Collaborate with developers to review and validate specifications
  • Develop technical and functional test plans to support client and user needs
  • Create and implement scope definition, estimate effort size for new business processes
  • Trouble-shoot and identify root cause of problems or process failures
  • Proactively assess and communicate project risks, mitigation plans and overall project status to constituents and to stakeholders at all levels
  • Work independently and in collaboration with offshore & onsite developers
  • Maintain and enhance VBA/Excel solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 Years of experience as business analyst
  • 2 Years of Investments accounting system exposure
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer and/or finance or accounting related fields
  • Experience in developing and/or supporting Accounting, Finance or Investments systems
  • Experience translating functional business requirements to technical specifications
  • Experience in working closely with business users to gather requirements and propose solutions
  • Proven history of detail-oriented execution and commitments to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication, strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Have project leadership ability and business acumen
  • Ability to deliver effectively in a fast pace environment and under strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems RDBMS
  • Experience writing SQL statements, or VBA scripts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Excel, rules-based systems, data extraction and load, BusinessObjects
  • Working knowledge of investments accounting systems PAM/PFI
  • Knowledge of securities & reference data feeds, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, S&P, Moody's, IDC, Markit, or similar
  • Previous experience working with investments accounting principles & reporting
  • Experience working in a matrix and distributed environments, with ability to guide and direct small teams/projects and/or manage multiple projects simultaneously
