Overview:

This position develops and executes procurement and program management for assigned categories, and requires a broad range of indirect spend category expertise. The scope of this position includes: program ideation, specification creation, sourcing, pricing and contract negotiation, supplier selection, marketing and communication strategy and implementation, supplier management and compliance, reporting and analysis, customer service, and process improvements.

Summary:

  • Subject Matter Expert for Indirect Spend categories - including remaining abreast of industry trends, innovation ideas, best practices, general specifications, and supplier capabilities and apply to program development, procurement, implementation, and management activities.
  • Collaborate with key strategic partners within portfolio of suppliers to leverage spend opportunities.
  • Utilize best in class practices and process for sourcing and negotiations activities. Make vendor selections and perform company awards to ensure the best value through savings, contract terms, and service.
  • Assertively launch, implement, and manage programs as well as build and maintain strong supplier relationships that are performance focused to drive program execution, operating performance, excellent service, and ongoing cost savings.
  • Work with tradeshow vendors and in-house events coordinators to develop materials for conventions and meetings.
  • Create and execute marketing calendar for all programs.
  • Manage required data collection, reporting, documentation, and analysis to accurately forecast, calculate, and track savings, program fees, and program growth - and to support Operator Savings routines.
  • Other duties and categories as assigned by management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years business experience in procurement for Indirect Spend, with a demonstrated history of contract negotiation, program development, program management, marketing, reporting, customer service, and supplier management success.
  • Solid working knowledge in Marketing, Social media and digital marketing, Business Programs, Program Management and analysis.
  • Must have strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to compile, summarize, and present complex data for all levels.
  • Exceptional relationship builder with ability to engage with, assertively and respectfully influence, and garner trust and respect from a diverse group of peer and senior level constituents, including board members, company executives, and team members.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills required. Very high proficiency using PC based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) also required.
  • Travel as needed; estimated at 15%.
