C# Developer
Contract to Hire

Vaco Technology is seeking a C# Developer for a multinational technology company located in Windsor, Ct. This is a full-time direct hire position. This position is primarily responsible for supporting and testing third parties with their integration to our client's platform. Additionally, the engineer will also assist with maintaining, enhancing, and growing out applications developed by our Solutions Engineering Center. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join and work with the latest office technologies and help shape future technologies. As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will be able to play an important role in the evolution of our platforms while working with the latest technologies.

Essential Job Functions

In addition to a strong technical background the ideal candidate should show the ability to think critically, gather information and problem solve in a team environment. The candidate will need to become an expert in their related technologies and be willing to support others in usage of these platforms.

  • Testing and reporting on the quality of third-party product integrations
  • Working with third party companies to integrate their products with the devices
  • Generate application prototypes to test viability of device platforms
  • Develop standalone and server-based software applications
  • Utilize public and private APIs to integrate applications for users of the device platforms
  • Utilize distributed version control in a team environment (Git, Mercurial)

Required Competencies

  • Languages: C#, JavaScript, Python, Go, Java
  • Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, WebSockets, WebRTC, JSON, XML, SOAP
  • Web Servers: Nginx, Apache2
  • Virtualization: KVM, LXC, Docker, VirtualBox
  • Operating Systems: Linux (Debian & Ubuntu), Windows Server
  • Experience building and consuming Web APIs using JSON.
  • Proficient in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Fluent with various web browsers (Chrome & Chromium, Firefox, Edge & Internet Explorer, Safari).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivating and self-learning.
  • Experience with packaging applications for, and shell scripting on Debian, Ubuntu and/or other Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Open source code you are proud of.
