Citrix Architect - Sr. Citrix Engineer

Location: Irvine

Duration: Contract to Hire


1. Defines product requirements and creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
2. Design and assist in the implementation of Citrix XenApp farm including installing and publishing apps, administering Citrix servers, managing, and deploying Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and associated custom GPO templates for the virtual environment.
3. Configure and support Citrix NetScaler Load balancers and Access Gateway solutions to support scalable delivery of applications and desktops to various endpoints.
4. Collects, evaluates Citrix services quality and proactively identify any significant network, hardware and software component failures.
5. Provide application installation and troubleshooting of Citrix XenDesktop suite of products, such as provisioning server, desktop delivery control, virtual desktop images/target devices.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of the virtual infrastructure
7. Assist in the design and implementation of the XenApp farm
8. Write/update technical documentation such as system documentation, and training materials.
9. Assesses change implementation options, benefits and risks, and recommends most appropriate direction.
10. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes.
11. Leads and directs the work of other technical staff.
12. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
14. Detailed knowledge of Citrix technologies including XenApp 7.x, Netscaler 10.x, networking and system interdependencies.
15. Proven abilities in designing and developing infrastructure solutions across storage, servers, virtualization technologies, and networking.
16. Advanced skills in troubleshooting and isolating network, server and system performance issues.
17. Ability to participate in projects or technology implementations with minimal guidance, partnering with vendors and engaging other technology teams, key stakeholders and users.
18. Understanding of cloud migration, data center migration, and server consolidation activities.
19. Demonstrated ability to logically approach and solve complex technical problems
20. Ability to work well with others, will ones to teach and others as well as learn from fellow coworkers
