Citrix Engineer Requirements:

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer System Engineering, and/or relevant equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Citrix
  • 5 years of experience in Windows Systems Engineering or Support
  • 2 years of experience in Monitoring and System Management Tools
  • 2 years of experience in Application configurations
  • 2 years of VMWare/VSphere/VCenter support in versions 5.5 - 6.5
  • Experience in supporting Windows Databases
  • Experience in supporting Windows failover clusters
  • Experience in supporting Active Directory
  • Experience in managing and supporting multiple environments. Coordinate with support, professional services, and development for multiple environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in maintaining and working IIS servers, and Windows environments
  • Experience with certificate management.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2/2016.
  • Familiarity with server OS - i.e. Windows and Linux
  • Scripting skills - Bash, Python, PowerShell
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Patch management and automation with configuration management platforms (such as BCM, SCCM, or others)

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Use the monitoring tools create dashboards, create alerts, and create additional monitoring packages to allow administrators to understand the real time the health of the Active Directory environment.
  • Define and implement best practices in server analysis, server configuration management, application analysis, application configurations, database analysis, and database configuration.
  • Review system performance identifying areas for improvement in the operating system, the database, and the application.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and response times identifying areas for improvement in the network, application, and/or the server environments.
  • Analyze system response times, system transaction request volumes, warring codes, and error codes making recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of infrastructure.
  • Experience in working with apache in Linux servers
