A Clinical Data Analyst is an active and influential member our informatics team. As a Clinical Data Analyst on our team you must have a passion for improving healthcare software; you will need to be highly passionate and comfortable in an entrepreneurial agile scrum environment. You will be responsible for engaging professionally with clinicians, informatics and third-party data providers to precisely define appropriate data, cleansing and presentation requirements for down-stream reports and applications to allow stakeholders to make informed research insights on specified CIDT data sets.
You will use your knowledge of healthcare analytics to influence our data quality and master data management initiatives. You will use your healthcare domain experience to help the teams understand use cases and functional requirements. You would be a great fit to this role, if you meet position requirements and can fulfill the following responsibilities to create an oncology insights informatics product that is enables prideful marketability to provide better oncology care and services to patients.


  • Identify, evaluate, map, preprocess raw data for integration from disparate clinical sources using steadfast data governance principles.
  • Assist the team with healthcare standards such as HL7 and DICOM and coding systems CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED, ICD9/10, LOINC, RxNorm to handle clinical/oncology data appropriately in the system.
  • Engage with customers, prospects and other experts to understand, analyze complex data systems, define and document key data element requirements, flow, relationships and dependencies.
  • Assist in definition, documentation and communication of standards and processes to adopt and implement data quality in CIDT and client organizations with validated product requirements.
  • Investigate and communicate data source anomalies.
  • Prioritize and validate product test cases.


Data ingestion/cleansing/enrichment:
  • Demonstrated competency with disparate health care data sources for ingestion, metadata, mappings, ontology management, data catalog management, reference data, rules/hierarchies and normalization.
  • Profound knowledge of clinical terminologies to create reference data and transformation to data standards (e.g. HL7, RxNorm, ICD 9, ICD 10, LOINC, Medications, UCUM, UMLS, SNOMED CT, etc.) using services such as Health Language and First Data Bank or other clinical/oncology and messaging references.
  • Ability to collate/review data for submission monitoring for outliers, error processing and validation using address verification, enterprise master patient index (EMPI) and provider reference services.
  • Healthcare information technology experience specific to electronic medical records (EMR), clinician notes, imaging, laboratory, pathology, and medication administration to create enriched patient data with clinical analytics concentration.
  • Proficiency with SQL and for product development related to data collection, aggregation, application development, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, data modeling, data architecture, data warehousing, databases and datamarts preferable.
  • Understanding of CMS claims, claim line feed data and revenue cycle management.
  • Conceptual understanding of AI/ML pipelines and Natural Language Processing.

Candidate attributes:
  • Genuine aspiration to improve oncology patient outcomes with a passion for working with data to better understand the value and importance of ensuring data quality.
  • Strong master data management (MDM) and data governance evangelization including data profiling, cleansing, parsing/standardization and enrichment.
  • Aptitude to professionally interact with end-users, informatics, and third-party providers to elicit and deliver data requirements .
  • Transformational analytic, creative, interpersonal, and business focused problem solver with demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization across product and engineering teams to influence at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience of at least two (2) years with healthcare domain with direct experience related to data integration, software development, and/or implementation of enterprise clinical use software.
  • Receptive to limited travel .

Preferential Considerations:
  • Oncology-specific healthcare institution experiences.
  • Hands on experience in the below technologies, or similar:
    • SQL Server and NoSQL data stores.
    • SQL Server Master Data Services (MDS) and Data Quality Services.
    • ETL scripting for SSIS packages and wrappers.
  • Experience with both on-premise and Cloud Services as well as data virtualization solutions.
  • BS degree in, Medical Informatics, Healthcare Administration (or related field).
  • Familiarity with Clinical Quality Language (CQL) in support of quality measures including, but not limited to: CMS eCQMs, HEDIS, AHIP and CAHPS.
