Summary Description

The Cloud Engineering Manager (CEM) leads the transformation of Enterprise IT from traditional, proprietary tools and
technologies to cloud-based platforms and services. This position leads the implementations of cloud infrastructure, thinks
strategically and develops processes, tools and frameworks that help ensure the stability, integrity and performance of
the companies platform. The CEM and team of cloud, network, and systems engineers work with internal customers and cloud
services providers to develop new and enhanced infrastructure and services that give enterprise IT customers more choices
and the ability to innovate on the products and services we collectively offer to our customers around the world.

The CEM is also responsible for continually advancing the technology in a collaborative and creative agile environment using
many of the latest technologies and industry best practices and finding better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions
that meet business objectives.

This role requires high level strategizing all the way down to daily implementation and maintenance; a strategic thinker with a
background in DevOps, systems engineering, and infrastructure architecture concepts.

Essential Job Functions:

* Build a great cloud engineering team by developing a strategic talent acquisition process focused on acquiring smart
and enterprising engineers and providing meaningful growth feedback to individuals on the team
* Lead the cloud engineering team to design and architect scalable, supportable, reliable and secure infrastructure
* Drive reliability, scalability, supportability, and efficiency in our innovative cloud platform
* Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to team members
* Lead the automation and IaC practices to ensure teams are following IaC patterns to ensure repeatability,
consistency and portability
* Influence and define processes to enable agile transformation within the Cloud team and across the organization
* Ensure the Cloud Engineering team is adhering to Information Security, Regulatory Compliance, Incident
Management, Problem Management and Change Management processes/practices.
* Investigate, analyze and make recommendations regarding technology improvements, development best practices,
standardization, scaling, upgrades, and modifications to our infrastructure and services
* Other duties as required.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (master's degree preferred)
* 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure with at least 3 years focused on cloud technologies
* 5+ years of people management experience
* 2+ years of experience in migrating on-premise workloads to the cloud (AWS preferred)
* Experience working in a continuous delivery environment
* Oversight experience on major IT transformation projects and successful transitions to support teams
* Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
* Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through
* Experience with a major public cloud provider (AWS preferred)
* Experience managing and implementing Cloud architectures in a DevOps/Agile methodology.
* Sound understanding and appreciation for all major functional areas of IT
* Track record of attracting and developing a strong and diverse team and IT organization
* Entrepreneurial and comfortable in a fast-moving, results-driven environment
* Successful track record of defining and executing strategic and innovative initiatives which have had major impact on
company and market performance
* Excellent leadership abilities along with proven success in building, growing and managing a highly talented and
motivated teams
