Job Description

Vaco has partnered with a company on the north side of Indy for an exciting Commercial Account Manager position! If you are an experienced commercial sales professional with travel industry experience, this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the "Network Life Cycle" ensuring that contracts align with the needs of the business, and that new networks rollout in an efficient and effective way.
  • Work closely with OTA (online travel agents) contacts to review business weekly, and help the sales team adapt its strategy when necessary.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, as required.
  • Attend industry and partner conferences on behalf of the brand.
  • Generate leads, and work to grow our distribution reach by adding new suppliers.
  • Communicate new OTA launches internally and externally.
  • Ensure that new locations are rolled out efficiently, effectively and totally across all networks.
  • Create reports that demonstrate distribution growth and conversion improvement.

Qaulifications:

  • Degree from an accredited 2 or 4-year institution, or 5 years' experience in a fast-paced, data driven work environment.
  • 2+ years selling commercial accounts
  • Travel Industry experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service and strong follow up skills
  • Proven track record growing a book of business
  • Direct and confident delivery of information to partners
  • Natural ability to foster relationships with partners
  • Ability to travel globally up to 10% of the time (up to one week at a time)
