Job Description

Vaco is assisting a well-known insurance services and risk management leader in the Tuscaloosa area identify a Commercial Insurance Account Manager with 5 years' experience. Our client has grown into one of Tuscaloosa's most sought-after companies.

As an Account Manager working in our client's Commercial Lines department, you will support the agency's mission of providing quality products and valuable counsel and services through timely, detailed, and accurate support to clients.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to receiving, ordering, checking, invoicing and transmitting changes to client policies; checking new and renewal policies or policy checklists; maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation in the agency's data management system.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task while ensuring quality work
  • Proficient data-entry and typing skills


  • 5 years of insurance industry experience is required
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience using agency management systems (TAM experience is preferred)
