Job Description

VACO is recruiting for an experienced compensation specialist for a temporary opportunity that starts immediately.

The Compensation Specialist partners with the director in administration of the full range of the Company's compensation programs. Assists with development, implementation, analysis and monitoring the effectiveness of new and revised compensation plans in support of the company's philosophy, goals and competitive practices. Also participates in generating offers and costing new/changed positions and programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the administration and analysis of compensation and incentive programs.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and assists with developing recommended revisions and improvements as necessary.
  • Provides analysis for pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluations.
  • Administers direct compensation for all levels of employees including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken.
  • Generates offers for Talent Acquisition for new hires and employees changing positions.
  • Participates in costing new/changed positions and/or programs.
  • Reviews merit compensation and ensures performance evaluations are processed correctly and that all pay increases are accurately applied in the HRIS system.
  • Participates in salary surveys to ensure that compensation programs are competitive with the external market.
  • Works with relevant stakeholders in setting up and changing compensation related elements within the HRIS system.
  • Serves on special taskforces as the compensation resource/expert for Human Resources.
