Job Description


  • Process weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls quickly and accurately
  • Check non-exempt employee time sheets for compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare various payroll and management reports, journal entries, and workers compensation reports.
  • Reconcile quarterly payroll taxes
  • Handle all garnishments, deductions, and vacation/sick accruals; respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files. Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and amendment filings
  • Reconcile payroll bank statements and review the accuracy of payroll deductions
  • Partner with HR and Finance on all payroll-related issues including benefit deductions, record keeping,
    taxable fringe benefits administration, etc., assisting the benefits administrator at affiliated entities
  • Administer and report on 401(k) and non-qualified plans
  • Process manual checks as requested
  • Maintain client confidence and confidential information

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent relevant work experienceo Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus!
  • 6+ years of experience in payroll operations
  • Strong attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to listen, communicate, and follow-up effectively with all levels of the organization, and outside vendors
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
