Consulting Business Development Manager


Vaco Orlando is looking for a Business Development Manager that is established in the Central Florida or Florida market and brings a portfolio of leads and clients for consulting and technology service offerings. This person needs to be a hunter with an established track record of lead generation and sales throughout Florida for technology and process improvement projects. The person will be able to cold call potential clients and be able to build trust and partner with the head of consulting services to close consulting engagements. This person will also help develop marketing materials that will be used for sales and distribution to a well establish client base and key executives.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leverage existing customer contacts to generate consulting engagements
  • Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities.
  • Identifying sales opportunities because of market changes.
  • Devising strategies for driving sales growth across the business.
  • Generate client meetings with the Consulting Manager.
  • Qualify all leads and involve staff as appropriate.
  • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships.
  • Establishing customer needs and selling consulting services accordingly.
  • Working to weekly and monthly sales targets and KPI's.
  • Arranging meetings with clients and educate them on Vaco's consultant capabilities.
  • Following up swiftly on sales enquiries and sending out information.
  • Working closely with Vaco Resources, Technology and Finance teams to develop new business.
  • Researching the market and identifying potential target customers.
  • Attending industry events to generate business leads.
  • Research and understand current Florida and Industry trends.
  • Assist in the gathering of requirements and scope
  • Partner with the Director of Consulting to close business.
  • Leverage Vaco's vast CRM database for lead generation.
  • Document all activities within Vaco's CRM system.
  • Attend daily calls as required.
  • Develop any materials as required to generate leads and sales.
  • Participate in roundtables and Vaco sponsored events and or client events.
  • Participate at internal events

Desired Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Sciences.
  • Technology experience in a broad array of software and application of that software from a business perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with several clients and projects
  • Ability to sell at all levels of an organization
  • Previous new business experience ideally from a consulting company or a company in the same or similar industry.
  • Proven track record of bring in new business and a natural ability to drive sales.
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Well organized with previous experience using CRM systems.
