Contract Accounting Manager (Remote) in Roswell, GA at Vaco

Job Description

Vaco is helping a client whose corporate office is in Roswell, GA find a Contract Accounting Manager that will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department to support the division's controller. Targeted pay on this role is $50-$60 per hour and the need is immediate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end process
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Support external audits
• Provide recommendations Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Oversee deliverables of the shared service center to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Responsible for fixed assets. Physical stock reconciliation with ERP
• Inventory costing
• Perform plant production and inventory monthly reconciliation
• Review Monthly plant and mine cost reports with site manager
• Provide various costing data, quantity produced when required
• Design, formalize and maintain internal control procedure

Qualifications Of The Accounting Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Ability to "understand the numbers & tell their story."
• Deep understanding of manufacturing accounting
• 5+ years of experience with the Manufacturing operations
• Proven work experience as a cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
• Proficient in financial software as SAP
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Ability to self-manage and work with limited direction
• Organized and able to effectively communicate points to his/her audience
• Proven ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
