Job Description

Vaco is seeking Recruiting candidates for a great client of ours in the Smyrna/Cumberland area. This role is designed to support the Human Resources department by partnering with Sr. Recruiters to plan, implement and monitor hiring activities for functional area(s), while performing daily tasks with a professional demeanor, ultimately creating a smooth and positive interview experience for all candidates. The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for assisting the recruitment process by helping to identify talent pools, planning & attending career fairs, screening candidates, scheduling phone & onsite panel interviews, facilitating interview days, extending offers and effectively building a world class experience from engagement to onboarding. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the contract period lasting at least 6 months with 100% perm potential. This role has a target pay range of $20-$30/hour depending on experience.

Job Duties:

  • Screening applicants for potential interviews.
  • Coach and educate hiring supervisors on interviewing, recruiting and hiring techniques.
  • Plan, arrange and execute participation in career fairs and events.
    Facilitate new initiatives and complete other special projects assigned by manager.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of associates.
  • Develop course of action to accomplish specific goals, meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Build good relationships with business partners.
  • Analyze information to recognize potential problems, propose and pilot solutions.


  • High school diploma required; 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant talent acquisition/recruiting experience required.
  • Experience with resume review, screening, selection and candidate presentation is strongly preferred.
  • Staffing/search firm experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting high volume recruiting and/or sourcing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement related to candidate experience is strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated & driven mentality, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
