Contract Senior Accountant in Renton, WA at Vaco

We are currently looking to fill our client's Senior Accountant position and we want to hear from you! An ideal candidate will be an individual looking to learn the ins and outs of different sides of accounting while owning each of them. If you are looking to develop a breadth of experience in accounting functions of a start up this role is for you. This position reports to the accounting/finance manager of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Handling month-end activities and creating journal entries
• Performing GL and account reconciliation and analysis
• Coordinating with regions to get their financial results, combining and consolidating
• Analyzing inventory, reconciling balance sheet, and creating reports
• Handling bank reconciliation and daily bank updates
• Posting monthly accrual journal entries, fixed assets and depreciation
• Financial reporting, preparing supporting schedules, and analyzing data

• Accounting or finance major, Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Retail industry experience
• CPA or working towards licensure
• Strong GAAP knowledge and audit practices and principles
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Experience with multiple ERP systems
• Technological proficiency using a wide range of programs
