Job Description

Our client is looking to add a new Controller to their team. This role partners with the management team and will be a key player within the organization. The position will manage the accounting function including budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities for the Controller

  • Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company
  • Oversee all financial reporting, financial analysis, cash management and forecasting reports
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets and ensure plan is continuously updated or maintained
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounting procedures, practices, and standards are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Manage the general ledger
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
  • Accounting designation (CPA) is required
  • Master's Degree is preferred
  • Minimum eight years accounting experience, with at least three years being in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong Excel Skills
