As an Accounting Manager, you will apply your general ledger, month-end close and supervisory expertise to the oversight and management of a team. You will also provide clients with a full range of accounting services and support:

Your areas of responsibility in this role will generally include:

  • Planning, coordinating and directing the tasks and resources of a team within the corporate accounting organization
  • Reviewing and preparing journal entries, accounting reconciliations and key financial reporting schedules
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data in accordance with GAAP
  • Documenting technical accounting memos to support accounting conclusions
  • Working closely with various departments and business leaders to research and determine the proper accounting treatment of complex or new transactions
  • Working with external auditors to address questions and provide requested support during quarterly reviews and yearly audits
  • Supervise and provide coaching and mentoring for corporate accounting staff

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of corporate accounting and/or public accounting/audit experience in a public company environment
  • 2+ years of public accounting/audit experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced people management and leadership skills, ability to develop direct reports and provide direct and actionable feedback
  • Technical accounting research and documentation skills
  • Self-directed and hands on, ability to work with minimal supervision while balancing and prioritizing competing demands
  • Desires to be subject matter expert who will be the primary day to day decision maker for the department
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Active CPA License preferred
  • Challenge existing practices and drive process improvement
  • U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence status required
