Job Description

Summary/Objective

The paralegal position researches law investigates facts and prepares documents to assist the VP, general counsel by performing a variety of support duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Flexibility to perform any other tasks assigned

  • Research state and federal insurance statutes as needed

  • Assist in management of legal matter workflow

  • Support the Legal Team in the management of outside counsel in litigation and regulatory matters

  • Draft, review and file UCC-1 and other liens

  • Collect information for responding to regulatory requests and outside counsel needs

  • Maintain individual insurance licenses for the company's Designated Licensed Producers

  • Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
  • Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
