As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for all cost accounting activities. This involves month/year-end close responsibilities, preparing and analyzing financial information, reconciling inventory. You will be accountable for ensuring that all financial deadlines are met.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform month, quarter and year-end close processes through journal entry preparation and working with management.
  • Reconciling inventory and other GL accounts
  • Preparing financial reports summarizing account information and trends
  • Resolving account discrepancies, especially those with production sites
  • Be capable of handling a fast-pace environment, work collaboratively throughout the organization and be process improvement minded.
  • Communicating financial information to department heads and product line managers
  • Capable of working with Auditors (both internal and external), FP&A, Corporate accounting, Reporting and IT

Ideal Candidate:
  • Analytically minded and strong problem solving skills
  • Hands on individual
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills working across various functions
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong Ethics, professionalism and organization skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related area, required
  • MBA and CPA preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
