Job Description

We are seeking a Cost Accountant for the Chemicals division. The individual selected for this role will assist in forecasting, closing, consolidating and analyzing the financial data for the division and its two business units. The Finance Manager will interact frequently across departments, functions and with Corporate finance, as well as be assigned to support special projects and ad hoc requests.

Job Responsibilities:
* Consolidation and analysis of daily plant and division performance trends, monthly operational results, and annual operating plans.
* Review various plant reporting requirements and prepare business unit level reports.
* Analyze and monitor various departmental budgets and capital spending.
* Manage customer billing and adjustments.
* Maintain standard costs with local system.
* Oversee Segment Management Review Control (MRO) for SOX compliance.
* Prepare quarterly SOX compliance reports.
* Lead and participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
* Undertake special projects and other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor degree in accounting or finance.
* Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Proven problem-solving skills and aptitude for strategic thinking.
* Advanced proficiency with automated ERP accounting packages, Excel and other analytical and reporting software.
* Understanding of financial and business acumen.
* Ability to lead and support new process development and implementation.
* Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills.
* Able to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
* Some travel required.
