As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for all cost accounting activities. This involves preparing and analyzing financial information as well as performing collection duties. You will be accountable for ensuring that all financial deadlines are met.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine cost of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Analyzing data collected and recording results
  • Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  • Daily costing of the manufacturing product.
  • Delegating assignments to staff and following up on their progress as needed.
  • Maintaining Cost Accounting System with current cost factors.
  • Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
  • Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
Requirements:
  • Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Standard cost
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Must have strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
