Job Description

Our client in the Anaheim area is currently seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to join their manufacturing organization on a consulting basis. The ideal candidate will have inventory process improvement experience and 5+ years in a Cost Accountant role.

As a Cost Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, GL reconciliations, JEs and GAAP compliance. You will also be in charge of the Month-End Close.

Other responsibilities of the Cost Accountant role include:

  • Assisting with internal and external audit requests
  • Managing physical inventory process
  • Preparing book to physical adjustments
  • Overseeing the inventory accounting process to ensure compliance with company policy and US GAAP
  • Performing monthly inventory excess & obsolescence reserve analysis
  • Validating accuracy of inventory balances and costs in all systems
  • Supervise a small team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience
  • JD Edwards or similar software experience
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
