Job Description

The Credit Administrator is responsible for new and existing customer credit reviews, processing and evaluating credit line increases, and working closely with team members and management to monitor and ensure compliance with credit and collection policies. This person must be able to initiate, maintain and grow solid relationships with our supply chain, sales, and finance teams to assess existing processes and procedures for improvement opportunities related to account management to minimize operational risk while improving cash flow.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Credit and Collections Manager for the preparation of required loan documents; coordinates execution of loan documents; coordinates booking of renewal loan documents; and clears loan exceptions.
  • Completes timely credit reviews and credit line increases, in accordance with established department service level agreements.
  • Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning the financial condition of customers based on risk
  • scoring industry standard tools such as DNBi and Experian credit risk analysis.
  • Develops relationships with plant managers and sales representatives to ensure upstream transparency for potential credit line increase requirements and potential account hold issues..
  • Reviews documentation for declined loans, completes required documentation and provides mailing to customer about declined loan.
  • Reviews all loan documents to ensure documentation is approved and in compliance with regulations and company policy; maintains knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations. Stays abreast of variations in laws across state boundaries. Attends and completes all necessary training.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of multiple reports related to consumer lending.
  • Responsible for applying standard department, regulatory, and loan policies and guidelines. Takes action necessary to resolve basic issues and refers the more complex and questionable problems to senior team members and management for resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related field
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with all department specific databases and systems
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Credit/Loan standard operating policies and procedures, regulatory policies, terminology, methodology and concepts.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use work flow tool
  • Attention to detail for review of loan documentation
