Job Description

The National Account Specialist will be responsible for working with multi-unit customers in resolving complex commercial cred/billing/collection customer issues and disputes billing or default issues and improving DSO. A successful candidate will use analytical methods to report to management any trends affecting commercial customers. In addition, the candidate will take actions necessary to resolve national account billing issues or inquiries to collect past due balances.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with national sales management, outside vendors, and commercial customer management to reconcile accounts receivable problems and insure accounts remain in good standing.
  • Research and respond to all customer written and verbal request and questions regarding invoices, statements, and general billing questions.
  • Provide management with visibility to customer solvency and credit worthiness.
  • Develop and run queries to maintain constant oversight of national account aging.
  • Identify process and procedure issues and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Answer all incoming calls; provide customers with any requested information regarding their account such as invoice/statement requests, balance information, payment information and other general account information.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent related experience in account management for a large organization, strong research and analysis skills.
  • Great verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven dispute resolution ability.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of data sources to gather required information for analysis and reporting.
