Job Description

Vaco Staffing is seeking a Customer Support Representative for a contract to permanent opportunity with a client in Little Rock, AR. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of customer service experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of SAP software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Works closely with Ops, Sales, and Design concerning quotes/order, DT's, plans, scheduling, and customer contacts.
  • Provide timely and accurate quote/order entry. Inputs orders within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Schedule orders with Operations.
  • Contacts vendors for acknowledgements and ship dates and inputs into system.
  • Put together job packets for each job.
  • Work departmental reports weekly (PO's Not Acknowledged, Projected Billing and Orders Waiting for Action), send update to Manager/Department Manager weekly.
  • Runs PO's and acknowledgements on a daily basis.
  • E-mails non-Steelcase PO's to correct vendors on a daily basis.
  • Takes initiative in teamwork, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as a back up to sales person regarding quotes, customer calls, etc.
  • Checks and responds to daily emails and voice mails in a timely manner.
  • Respond to order discrepancies within 48 hours of receipt
  • Respond to warranty issues: filing claim and entering replacement order.
  • Develop personal goals and objectives and continually work to promote and advance the Customer Service Department through team and personal improvements.
  • Take part in training programs both within the department and the company as required.
  • Back up other CSR positions as needed.
  • Complete all other duties as requested, required or assigned to provide timely, accurate, and essential customer service for both internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
  • SAP Experience is preferred.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Work requires an extensive knowledge of business and an excellent command of the English language.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, detailed paperwork, good organizational skills, good time management, and good decision making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customer, both orally and in writing.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle a variety of customer service interactions, including adverse situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Job Requirements

3+ Years of customer service experience in manufacturing industry and knowledge of SAP software.
