Job Description

Vaco is looking for a Data Entry Clerk to work at a well-respected client in Marina Del Rey. The data entry operator should be able to effectively manage large amounts of information. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database. This is expected to be a 2-3 month assignment.


  • Transfer data, such as credit card information, from one system to another
  • Type in data provided directly from customers
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database/electronic files or paper files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost


  • Data entry background or administrative assistant background
  • Fast typing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spread sheets such as Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of general office equipment and computer hardware
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Great attention to detail
  • Great/creative researching skills to obtain data
