Job Description

We are seeking an associate level Data Governance Analyst that will play a key role in implementing and operationalizing the data management framework and strategy for a federal information management program. This analyst will assist the data governance and metadata management teams in the formation and execution of policies, procedures and standards that will meet the organization's business needs. They will also provide support in the establishment of a data stewardship program and information quality improvement projects or similar efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and application of information management best practices and principles *
  • Passion for ensuring data quality, integrity and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of federal information management practices and laws including document lifecycle management, the Federal Records Act, Freedom of Information Act, Section 508, Open Government Data Act and the Federal Information Security Management Act
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff across the organization
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in decision making
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions
  • Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Ability to make recommendations to senior staff
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience applying research and analytical skills to solve business problems
  • Ability to write various documents such as functional requirements
  • Basic understanding of databases and data structures
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio along with various other online applications
