Job Description

Responsibilities:
* Owns design for the overall data warehouse, data visualization, reporting, dashboard solutions that power the analytic needs of our product insights.
* Develop and prototype solutions in Business Intelligence (BI) tools including Tableau, PowerBI and OBIEE as a hands-on development engineer.
* Execute full SDLC and agile development of analytics solutions supporting the Data Warehouse
* Create working wireframes of visualizations supporting business needs.
* Designing, developing, maintaining and supporting functionality of scalable visualization solutions.
* Manages software versioning. Ensures performant visualization solutions
* Write well-designed, testable, secure code using Tableau, PowerBi, OBIEE & PL/SQL as a member of a high performance data & analytics development team.
* Perform detailed data analysis to understand source system data and source to target mapping.
* Develop & unit test BI tool visualizations for optimal performance
* Performance tune visualization reports, mappings and report queries.
* Participate in data modeling, architecture and code reviews as required.
* Identify, recommend and implement BI tool processes and architecture continuous improvements.
* Triages issues reported by users in production systems. Troubleshoots system failures and assesses root cause. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
* Participate in mentoring and guiding junior technical developers within the Data warehouse and Data & Analytics department
* Documenting the datawarehouse and BI solutions and procedures to ensure the cloud BI platform remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.
* Maintaining a strong understanding of Data & Analytics, visualization, analytical insight trends and technologies.
* Maintaining a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements applicable to software development in clinical trials.

Required Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent professional experience required
* 5+ years' hands-on experience working on data warehousing related projects/solutions with at least
3+ years of Tableau & OBIEE implementation experience.
* Experience in multiple BI tools, e.g. PowerBI is a plus.
* 5+ years progressive experience in providing technology solutions and services in a global organization.
* 5+ years in software development or programming experience as a Data Warehousing BI, Analytics, Visualization, Dashboard Software Engineer in large-scale BI platforms including Tableau and OBIEE.
* Must have expert hands-on experience with visualization/dashboard design & wireframing.
* Proven knowledge of BI Tool processes, best practices, installation, configuration and administration.
* Demonstrated expert knowledge of PL/SQL programming and relational database design on the Oracle and Snowflake database platforms.
* Experience in operationalizing data warehouse and visualization solutions, job scheduling, workflow management, alerts and notifications.
* Experience in Data Governance & Stewardship programs.
* Must have solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and business processes.
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of data integration, analytics, data quality, data architecture, security and delivery of BI solutions, project life cycle phases, best practices and processes.
* Understanding of various source system applications and data nuances in healthcare and life sciences solutions.
* Experience with ground and cloud-based BI tools visualizations, architectures and designs protocols.
* Exhibits knowledge across a wide breadth of design and development related technical principles, practices, and procedures.
* Ability to drive results with an emphasis on reducing cycle time and increasing speed to market of new products.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate technical design and solution information along with the communications skills to influence management on technical decisions related to business solutions.
* Knowledge of latest trends in cloud infrastructure and migration application in private/hybrid cloud model.
* Highly motivated self-starter. A drive to learn and master new technologies, techniques, and data sources.
* Strong analytical, organizational, verbal communication and business writing skills.
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, de-bugging skills.
