Job Description

SUMMARY

Oversees processes in the Screen Printing department and ensures the department is meeting its production goals while maintaining quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sets and manages production goals for all screen printers and reports directly to Decoration Manager
  • Provides strategic business development insight to help expand and build out the department for future growth
  • Serves as liaison between the art department and the prepress operation to ensure art is reproducible
  • Interfaces with decorating distributors and sales representatives and purchases supplies for the department
  • Participates in the interviewing and selection of employees for the department
  • Oversees onboarding and training activities for new hires in the department
  • Participates in performance management processes for the department
  • Handles employee relations matters with support from Human Resources

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • 5S experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience managing individuals and teams
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Has business intuition for department expansion
  • Screen printing knowledge preferred, but not mandatory
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position works in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse. It can be hot in the summer and cool in the winter.
  • The noise level is moderate. Hearing protection is typically not required.
  • Gloves and eye protection are provided for hand and eye protection.
