Job Description

I am hiring for a Desktop Support Specialist to assist with a Windows 7 to 10 Migration and miscellanious technical issues at a Seattle Life Sciences organization with hundreds of users in a multi-level facility. You will be directly interacting with Technical and Non-Technical end-users on a daily basis, transporting, repairing, upgrading and replacing desktop machines, laptops and related-peripherals.

INTERVIEWS 7/18, 7/19, 7/22

Responsibilities include:
1. Imaging of Windows (Computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10)
2. Software and Application-related maintenance, managing failed hard drives, lab machines, Break-Fix, etc.
3. Saving data, performing data-backups.
4. Incident response to hard-ware and product-related issues which vary in complexity.
5. Provide detailed procedural documentation based on incidents and end-user requests.
6. Maximize end-user satisfaction with prompt responses to Voicemails and Emails in adherence to SLA's. Meet performance goals and deadlines for repairs.
7. Report findings and patterns to Technical Leadership
8. Time management and prioritization of requests.
9. Provide Director of End User Support with additional IT-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
1. 5+ years of experience in an IT Support role responding to onsite issues in a commercial environment.
2. Associates/Bachelors in an IT-Related Discipline or possesses relevant certifications (ITIL, A+, Microsoft Certs, etc.)
3. Experience with Windows Migrations from 7 to 10 highly-preferred.
3. Knowledge of OS, hardware, netwrok, application-based issues.
4. Excellent demonstrated customer-facing skills in a professional environment, self-starter, sense of urgency and highly empathetic towards the user.

May occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and move around campus.
