Vaco Technology is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Desktop Support Specialist, direct-hire employment opportunity, based in Laredo, TX. This role will be directly responsible for overseeing and supporting all IT needs for end users, consisting of hardware, software, network, and mobile device support for employees . Overview:

The Desktop Support Specialist will be the primary technical support specialist to assist all employees with onsite and remote technical support consisting of hardware, software, network and mobile device support. This individual must have a customer-centric personality, as you will be interacting with all levels of team members, associates, managers, executives, as well as coordinating with external vendors.

Job Scope:

  • Performing analysis, troubleshooting and resolution to all IT related issues for employees
  • Installation, configuration and support of all hardware, software, network and mobile device products
  • Coordinating escalation issues with corporate IT team members, to troubleshoot and resolve escalation issues in a timely manner
Requirements: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with the following:

  • Supporting Microsoft products - Outlook, Windows Operating Systems (Win 7 & Win 10), Office 365, MS Office Suite
  • Supporting laptops, desktops and mobile devices (Apple iOS and Android devices)
  • Supporting basic network configurations, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Supporting Active Directory - adding/removing users, basic administration, user permissions and Group Policy
  • Supporting printers, scanners, and/or other hand-held devices
Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Highly prefer the ability to read/write and speak Spanish
  • Industry Certifications: A+, Network +, MCP
