Job Description

General Purpose: Analyzes, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains the desktop computer systems, terminal network and peripheral equipment. Performs routine preventative maintenance on all desktop computer system equipment. Responsible for the maintenance repair of desktop computers and printers. In order to achieve the general purpose of this position the following duties may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 Retrieves computer equipment from closed Field Offices.
 Installs computer equipment at Divisional Field Offices.
 Acts as the point of contact with end users.
 Troubleshoots computers and other office equipment onsite and offsite.
 Trains employees onsite and remotely.
 Troubleshoots computers onsite and offsite.
 Provides end-user support.
 Performs equipment inventory and maintenance.
 Provides PC support for hardware and software issues.
 Maintains software version updates.
 Monitors and requests fulfillment of software needs.
 Sets up and supports sales offices.
 Creates phone extensions and voicemail accounts.
 Troubleshoots and fixes telephone and voicemail issues.
 Monitors equipment performance, document problems, and arranges follow-up on hardware maintenance, etc.
 Provides support for current Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft office products.
 Regular contact at all Divisional Field Offices and Sales Offices.

project requirements.

Education and/or Experience/Licenses and/or Certificates:
 High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
 A+, Net+, Current Microsoft Desktop Operating System Certifications, or at least 2 years of related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to demonstrate to any user the use of these tools.
 Local area networks.
 Ability to configure computers with maximum compatibility and uniformity.
 Requires the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) as needed.
 Ability to adhere to strict time deadlines and work under pressure.
 Ability to execute tasks with a pleasant and approachable demeanor; speak effectively to groups of people;
and to anticipate and solve problems before they become quality or cost issues.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, work documentation, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, employee must have a high level of knowledge and proficiency in computer hardware
and software.
