  • He lost his manager that was the Team Foundation Server SME and would love if this person can bring that level of knowledge with them.
  • Open to hiring someone with TFS, Azure, or GIT
  • Currently on premise, but moving to cloud with Azure or Docker
  • 7 people on this team
  • This person will get exposure to a lot of different technologies and not have to only "swim in their lane". Will have the ability to own projects from beginning to end.
  • This position offers a base salary + 6% bonus based on company profitability which they give out every year

Job Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer provides support, problem solving, direction, and design for infrastructure needs. The senior engineer works closely with a number of other teams to gather infrastructure requirements, document procedures, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement automation solutions. He or she is comfortable in a faced-paced environment. He or she is a self-starter, capable of working autonomously with little direction and/or as part of a diverse team.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with Business users, Application Development, Application Architecture, Information Security and other teams to gather requirements.
  • Support Infrastructure from an engineering and architecture perspective.
  • Design and implement infrastructure of multi-tenant, multi-tier applications as well as implementation of tools and processes to support development, QA, and ops provisioning.
  • Document standards, processes, workflows, and policies around applications and underlying infrastructure.
  • Identify and troubleshoot highly complex application and infrastructure issues.
  • Create and maintain automation covering provisioning and configuration management, testing, and infrastructure deployment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in a strong infrastructure support role, preferably working closely with application development teams.
  • Proven experience in developing IT infrastructure solutions as a lead engineer/analyst/architect.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure implementation and application lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server Operating system from 2008R2 to current.
  • Scripting knowledge using PowerShell, VBScript, etc.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory and all the supporting components:
    • Group policy
    • Sites and services
    • Microsoft PKI
  • Strong understanding of network concepts and technologies and experience troubleshooting related issues:
    • TCP/IP, DNS
    • Firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, proxy servers, etc.
  • Heavy experience working in a highly virtualized environment and familiar with virtualization concepts and functionality; vSphere Suite (vCenter, VCOPs, Config Manager, etc.) preferred.
  • Azure and Office365 Experience highly desired.
