Job Description

Vaco Technology is in search for a well-rounded DevOps Engineer (contract to hire) with experience with technology assessment and evaluation experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

This is a Contract to Hire position, located in the South Metro area of Minneapolis, MN.

Applicants that can work for any US employer, Do NOT apply if you have Visa or are only working as a Contractors. Must be eligible to work as a permanent employee.

Responsibilities:

End-to-end development and testing and deployment of software products in an agile lifecycle.

Refine the product vision, estimate and design a solution, create, purchase, or customize the requisite hardware and software to create the solution, ensure the quality of the final product through manual and automated tests, and support the new software as it is moved to production.

Act as a generalist that combines aspects of a traditional developer build master and tester into a single position responsible for the design and release of quality code in short, releasable, and iterative increments.

Qualifications:

  • 6 years' experience with developing and implementing applications.
  • 3-5 years software development experience (.NET, Java, Modern Scripting language) including Version Control Systems, Eclipse IDE's, etc.
  • 3-5 years' experience in DevOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts
  • 2-3 years' experience Rational Team Concert (RTC) or similar source code management tools
  • 2-3 years' experience with 2 or more of the following - Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Urban Code Deploy
  • 2-3 years' experience with Version One or similar experience with Kanban boards in an agile environment
  • Continuous integration and build skills, including background in tools that support these skills
  • Unit Testing (including automation and integration with CI systems)
  • Functional Testing (including automation, test driven development, and automation frameworks)
  • Agile Software Development (Scrum)
