Job Description:

The DevOps Manager role blends architecture, automation, development, application administration, and people management. It leads and manages a technology roadmap and solves traditional operations problems through automation and software. This role has a strong customer focus and dives deeply into technical areas of code, web platform technologies, system performance, and release management. Designs the DevOps and Release Management disciplines and platform. Evangelizes DevOps processes to the rest of the department and business.

DevOps (90%)

  • Serves as the key leader and expert on DevOps and Release Management practices and components.
  • Leads the establishment and maturation of DevOps and Release Management internal practices and ensures accurate documentation is kept and shared with internal and external partners.
  • Implements solutions for automation of application build, test, deployment, configuration management, and orchestration.
  • Coordinates release calendar and schedule.
  • Oversees the planning and execution of releases including:
  • Release calendar and schedule
  • Defect logging and resolution
  • Hot fix prioritization and execution

Web (10%)

  • Oversees website performance monitoring from vendor relationship management to dashboard and reporting development.
  • Oversees 24/7 website technology support process and participates as on-call and escalation lead.
  • Stays abreast of current industry best practices, tools, and methodologies.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related field required, MBA or MIS a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in technology architecture, website development, release management, and production support (combined)
  • 3 years of ecommerce experience
  • 3+ years of leading technology teams experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft technologies (IIS, .NET, Windows Server, SQL Server).
  • Proven track record leading and developing a technology team in a faced paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent business and analytical acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
