Vaco Atlanta is looking for a Director, Human Resources Business Partner for a new client of ours in Alpharetta. This is a confidential role, where we are unable to disclose the name of our client but can advise that it's a financially successful, market leader with a great culture. For this role, we are seeking someone currently operating in a Director, Human Resources Business Partner capacity for a division or region of a large (>2,500 employees) professional services type company (e.g., mostly exempt employees). Base comp on this role is targeted at $135K-$155K with total compensation (including bonus, etc.) in excess of $200K. Below is a representative job description and requirements.

The Director, HR Business Partner will:
  • Actively engage with the leaders of the functions s/he supports, serving as a credible and capable HR partner in leading organization effectiveness across the business
  • Act as a thought partner for business leaders on both business and organization-related matters to drive business results
  • Determine organizational implications of business strategy
  • Ensure the business attracts, manages, develops and retains high-quality talent. Focus on talent management and development, career pathing and succession planning.
  • Partner closely with Corporate HR to execute programs, processes and practices

This position reports directly to the VP, Human Resources for the US Organization who is responsible for all aspects of the HR function within the US Organization. The Director, HR Business Partner will support multiple VPs and their leadership teams.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Related. Advanced level degrees or certifications a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles in human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Business Partner in a large, matrixed organization.
