Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

* Conducts update presentations to the IT Steering Committee.

* Collaborates with department heads and executives on the planning and selection of software initiatives and solutions.

* Maintains IT Roadmap and Applications Map for current and future projects.

* Creates an annual budget for approval by the IT Steering Committee.

* Reviews and approves IT invoices and reports actuals and variances to Corporate Accounting & the IT Steering Committee quarterly. Additionally, quarterly provides a revised reforecast for the remainder of the year.

* Manages the Systems and Application Support team (outsourced) that provides helpdesk functions

* Manages the Network and Infrastructure Support team (outsourced) that provides hardware and network functions.

* Maintain infrastructure inventory and software license management.

* Manages software vendor relationships (including vendor and contract maintenance) to promptly resolve issues, recommends product enhancements, and stays current on product changes.

* Communicate and coordinate with various departments to assess their needs and develop and implement application/software changes.

* Conducts requirement gathering for new software solutions and documents Request for Proposals (RFP) for eligible vendors. Oversees vendor presentations, test of concept, negotiation and selection process. Prepares a summary of recommendation, including scope, timing and cost to the IT Steering Committee.

* Coordinates and manages IT projects; communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and budget. In certain instances, provide training for end users.

* Involves department leads in the change management process for all system changes and maintains proper documentation.

* Maintains IT Policies and Procedures for the Company and identifies recommendations to the IT Steering Committee.

* Oversees annual IT controls audit by Ernst & Yng

* Performs business process reviews to identify and recommend solutions for deficiencies in systems and processes or areas to improve efficiency.

* Identifies best practices and efficiency software solutions to automate reporting performed for groups within the Company.

* Maintain disaster recovery/business-continuity planning and provide hands-on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions.

* Attends conferences at the Company's request in order to stay current with IT trends, advancements and opportunities and maintains a network of peers to provide feedback on policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and more than 6 years' experience in the real estate industry desired. At least four years managing a technical systems or IT department.

* Must have experience managing a team including: goal setting; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance.

* Proven project management experience required.

* Experience with migration to Cloud (applications, Office 365) and SharePoint migrations preferred.

* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

* Generates creative solutions; demonstrates attention to detail.
