The Director of Accounting will be an integral player in managing investment accounting functions as well as being responsible for all accounting and finance functions related to the business. This person will also be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, testing, and documenting all compliance and internal controls (SOX). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to lead and work with a team, very strong organizational skills, and a drive to continuously learn and grow. This person will also be responsible for the following:

  • Investment/financial reporting
  • Variance/trend analysis
  • Preparation of journal entries and a strong understanding of accrual accounting
  • Actual income vs. projected income analysis
  • Monthly management reporting and month-end close
  • Serving as the primary accounting contact within the department

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Extremely proficient in Excel
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
