Vaco is helping a great client of ours find a Collections Manager with experience managing a large collections, customer service and fraud team. Experience in the banking / financial services industry is paramount. And note this is really a Director of Vendor Management role - all 3 areas above are outsourced so the role will really entail overseeing the quality and effectiveness of outsourced vendors in the areas of collections, fraud and customer service.
Oversee collections and recovery processes:- Review accounts.
- Handle escalations as they occur.
- Analyze and prepare collection reports.
- Manage and provide feedback to supervisors and collectors.
Direct backend processes associated with bankruptcies, fraud, and death of customers.Direct the monthly recovery process with the outside agencies to which our client outsources or sells debt:- Provide documentation such as loan documentation and transaction history.
- Ensuring the agencies abide by client and industry guidelines and are effective in collections efforts.
Manage process for credit cycles and accounts in need of legal intervention:- Oversee the process for accounts entering litigation or arbitration.
- Oversee interactions with the outside attorney and the client legal analyst.
- Present credit cycle reports to management.
Coach supervisors on effective management practices through one on one meetings.
