Job Description

We have an open CONTRACT position for an Email Designer & Developer to join our Product Experience team. We are looking for someone who has rich set of design and coding experiences within marketing automation platforms producing email, and digital advertising. We're looking for someone with a keen attention to detail, an eye for design and a passion for emerging technologies.

The primary responsibility of the Email Designer & Developer is to produce high quality digital designs, from concept to final production, across multiple communications platforms, including email, web, and digital advertising, and any other duties as assigned.

This opportunity is 70% production and 30% design.

What we expect of you:

  • Support our email engagement campaigns through designing, coding, and developing email marketing messages and landing pages within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other campaign automation tools.
  • Code mobile responsive emails, landing pages and digital ads from scratch, and stay up-to-date with emerging email marketing best practices.
  • Support new client implementations by modifying email templates, coding against approved email designs, and testing email performance.
  • Support the implementation of new data and content integrations and enhancements between Content and Digital Asset Management Systems (CMS/DAM %3D Adobe Experience Manager), back-end databases, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Support ongoing member engagement campaigns by updating existing email and landing page content (images, videos, landing page links).
  • Follow established tones, including brand standards, and execute them across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with other channel designers/developers and UX lead to test and enhance the omni-channel experience, ensuring consistency and effectiveness for our members and programs.
  • On-time delivery with high-quality execution, within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Back-up support as needed for campaign automation and segmentation tasks.

Our ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in digital and/or web design roles
  • Fluent in HTML, CSS, and AMPScript coding languages
  • Fluent in SalesForce Marketing Cloud / ExactTarget
  • Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Demonstrated understanding of design principles and typesetting standards, with a portfolio showcasing this work
  • Strong team player/collaborator who can develop on ideas, but also a self-starter who can work independently
  • Solid understanding of brand strategy translated into marketing communications
  • Comfortable collaborating with designers, copywriters, project managers, client managers, leadership and other cross-functional teams
  • Well organized, process driven, loves perfection and is accountable for on-time delivery of their work
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • The ability to verbally articulate the strengths/weakness of designs, and provide insightful feedback into how to make an existing design more successful
  • Ability to work in a Mac-based environment
  • Bachelor's degree in web/digital design or similar degree

Bonus points for the following:

  • Knowledge or experience in writing SQL queries
  • Experience working with Content and Digital Asset Management tools, preferably Adobe Experience Manager
  • Knowledge or experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud's Automation Studio, Journey Builder, or other marketing automation tool sets
  • Experience working with the health care / health insurance industry
