Job Description

Vaco is seeking a Corporate Recruiter for a Yard Management and Trucking company in the Alpharetta area. This role is designed to support the Human Resources department in the company's internal recruiting effort as well as assist with some Human Resources duties. This is a Contract-to-Hire role and the targeted pay range is $17-$18/hr.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Write and post technical and other job descriptions via targeted ads.
  • Sourcing potential candidates on niche platforms.
  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes.
  • Sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews.
  • Assist with Human Resources duties such as new-hire I-9 document processing, on boarding and pre-employment screenings.
  • Network online and offline with potential candidates to promote employer brand, reduce time-to-hire and ensure that the best professionals are attracted.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees.
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants' abilities.
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions).
  • Coordinate with team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs.
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates.
  • Compose job offer letters.
  • Promote company's reputation as a great place to work.
  • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements.


  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of Recruiting experience or a strong interest in recruiting
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
