Job Description

NAV System Analyst

This position will support the ongoing operation of the NAV ERP system and focus on the delivery of quality reporting with the NAV application.

Duties will include:

Lead report developer for the Microsoft NAV 2017 ERP, leveraging SQL query abilities and the "role center" paradigm inside NAV to help deliver exception-based, actionable reporting to the user community.

Coordinate with the Business Intelligence group to ensure accurate NAV data is supplied to the data warehousing effort in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist with unit-testing, training and deployment of new ERP functionality to the user community.

Assist in the management and resolution of helpdesk tickets, ensuring that users are supported and new feature requests are thoroughly documented.

Act as an advocate for NAV and evangelist with the user community, to ensure the company takes full advantage of the ERP.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills desired:

Highly skilled writing SQL queries and leveraging.

Experience with Power BI capabilities NAV Role Centers a significant plus.

Dynamics NAV experience as a Support Specialist and/or in a Function Consultant role a significant plus, with a thorough understanding of ERP functionality, particularly in the areas of: Sales Order processing, Supply Chain: Purchasing, Demand planning, intercompany transactions, Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse transactions, Financials: G/L, Receivable, Payables, Bank Accounts

Knowledge and experience with User Setup, User Accounts, Permissions and Security. SOX compliance a plus.

Must be able to work both independently, in a team environment and under a supervisor's guidance, with superior analytical, interpersonal and project management skills.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working with people from all departments in the company who have varying degrees of computer/technology knowledge and to produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the Company.


Bachelor's Degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Management or Supply Chain Management and 3-5 years of experience as an ERP System Analyst (i.e. NAV, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.).

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience.
