Executive Director - Foundation Engagement and Development

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Vice President
  • Global Alliances and working in close cooperation with senior leadership within the Global team, the Executive Director, Foundation Engagement & Development is responsible for the strategic oversight of the Global team.
  • Responsible for strategically building and driving engagement efforts with global foundation partners by leading a team of experienced fundraising and operations professionals to assist global foundations in their strategic planning efforts, including development and alignment of their fundraising efforts and business operations.
  • Creates an environment that encourages cooperation with and within the Global team to support collaboration that drives performance of assigned goals, organizational efficiency, and accomplishment of strategy.
  • Partners with Global Foundation leadership to adjust fully integrated engagement efforts as conditions demand and in consultation with the VP - Global Alliances and the Chief Operations Officer (COO).
  • Requires thorough knowledge of global fundraising, business operations, and general management methods; possesses experience in managing multiple remote locations
  • Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations; understand extremely complex verbal or written instructions
  • Understand data processing applications
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's Degree plus 10 plus years of experience in the field of global operations and/or fundraising or marketing/sales, including previous experience through levels of progressive management responsibility including supervision, budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development, cost control, manpower allocation, etc., and special events fundraising; possess excellent diplomacy skills.
