Job Description

Location: Orange, CA


  • Prepare shipping instructions and ensure timely processing
  • Communicate and negotiate with the shipping lines to obtain the original and rated bill of ladings. Identify and resolve discrepancies as required
  • Communicate with appropriate internal/external customers, departments, loading facilities, freight forwarders, and customers when needed
  • Create, assemble, and submit applicable export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with export laws and regulations
  • Process the export documents according to the Letter of Credit to assure compliance with terms when presenting documents to the bank
  • Maintain export files in an organized system

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with ocean export documentation
  • Familiarity with different payment terms (LC's, DP, & TT)
  • Ability to effectively manage time and be self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work flow, and complete tasks with a high level of organization, responsibility, and efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in export documentation or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
