Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot in cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure (Azure) and OpenShift.
  • Automate deployment and utilize cloud DevOps to implement and validate solution changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
  • Be proactive in recognizing and handling uptime and performance challenges
  • Monitoring knowledge and understanding applied to a production system Responsibilities:

    • Automate deployment and utilize cloud DevOps to implement and validate solution changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
    • Be proactive in recognizing and handling uptime and performance challenges
    • Monitoring knowledge and understanding applied to a production system
      • Enhancing existing monitoring
      • Understand requirements and request new monitoring
      • React quickly, troubleshoot the system
      • Provide root cause analysis
    • Engage with Development, QA, and Product teams in bringing incidents to resolution
    • Engage with agile development teams delivering requirements for defects and enhancements for product improvement in SaaS
    • Create and maintain support information and documentation, such as procedure instructions, SOPs, and process updates
    • Contribute to incident and problem management processes
    • Working within the defined change management to plan and schedule and execute changes
    • Provide the occasional off-hour technical support to assist our global teams in escalations
    • Engage in on call activities as needed within the team
    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years (Engineer) or 6+ years (Sr. Engineer) of experience administering, and/or maintaining cloud environments, such as Azure and AWS, supporting high-availability production environments
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems and/or cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure or OpenShift
    • ITIL Foundations
    • Experience with Systems Operations and DevOps Engineering in AWS, Azure and/or Openshift
    • Experience with operating and maintaining RedHat OpenShift
    • Experience working in virtual machines running Linux and/or Windows in complex multi-platform data centers
    • Experience in deployment automation frameworks (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins)
    • Programming and scripting experience such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java
    • Experience with logging and data aggregation tools (e.g. ELK, SPLUNK)
    • Fundamental understanding of enterprise firewalling, network security principles, and networking best practices
    • Fundamental understanding of Oracle; Microsoft SQL, PL/SQL; and/or other RDBMS
    • Takes initiative and highly motivated with strong individual time management, the ability to work effectively independently, and the capacity to support multiple services as part of a team
    • Experience working within enterprise-scale containerized platforms using Docker
    • Understanding and experience with Continuous Delivery Solutions.
    • Experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
    • Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networking technologies and troubleshooting techniques
    • Experience in Service Provider, IT Administration, SaaS or Network Operations settings
    • Agile and Kanban methodologies
    • Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact directly with those who do not have an IT or Operations background, and teaching peers on technical solutions
    • Capacity to learn new technologies quickly
    • Experience with using enterprise ticketing systems
    • Handling pressure and urgent situations with a level-headed approach and high professionalism
