Job Description

Vaco Dallas, LLC is currently seeking qualified applicants who are looking for a fast tracked career in IT Managed Services, to join the team of a reputable Infrastructure Managed Services Provider in North Dallas. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the US, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time. Applicants must be eligible to pass a background check and drug screen assessment upon selection for hire.

Compensation: $60,00 - $70,000 salary

Must be able to provide reliable transportation.

Job Scope: As an integral part of a growing company, you will have a personal connection to the client and our team. This means we are looking for a team player who understands the connection between customer service and technology. This includes responsibility for handling inbound client calls and support tickets, and proactively handling them to the best of your ability on your own. When needed this individual should also know when to escalate if unable to find a solution in a timely manner. What makes this an exciting position is that your interaction may change from day to day: on the phone, emailing clients or in the field on a regular basis. For this reason, customer service skills and a personable demeanor IS A MUST. The individual must also be presentable and professional at all times.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT
  • Excellent people skills, communication skills and self-management skills
  • Honesty, integrity, motivated and a genuine desire to help
  • Very reliable; able to manage your time, work, and complete tasks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Able to explain complicated technical issues to our high-end yet nontechnical clients
  • Reliable transportation for travel in DFW area.

ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING

  • Desktops: Windows, Mac OS, Office, antivirus, etc.
  • Office 365 migrations and management is required.
  • Install/configure/deploy/maintain
    • Windows Server OS: 2012, 2012 R2, 2008 R2
    • Active Directory 2008/2012 and group policies
    • Exchange Server 2013, 2010, 2007
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of the following: ConnectWise, Mimecast and Continuum
  • Manage DNS servers
  • Terminal Services, VPN and other remote connectivity
  • Cisco switches and routers a plus but not required
  • Local and Wide Area Networks and Routing
  • Unified Threat Management (UTM) devices (e.g. Cisco, SonicWALL, Watchguard)
  • Other networking gear (switches, routers, etc.)
  • Cloud infrastructure services experience, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Mobile Devices: iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, etc.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Azure administration experience
  • HUGE PLUS to have performed an Azure buildout and migration.
  • VMware clustering with SAN virtualization in general (4.x 5. x), is a PLUS
