Financial Analyst - Staff Accountant - Management Reporting - Variance Analysis - P&L - Profit and Loss - Pro Formas - Month-End

Are you a Staff Accountant who is experienced with variance analysis? Are you interested in a hybrid role that will allow you to learn budgeting and forecast to add to your experience or eventually transition into a pure finance role? A global, billion-dollar real estate firm near the Westside is looking to add an Financial Analyst to their team. In this role, the Financial Analyst will report up to the Financial Planning and Analysis team and focus on management reporting and variance analysis. The Accountant/Financial Analyst will also focus on financial and ad hoc reporting. There will be opportunities to learn finance, and the reason this role is open due to internal promotion. What do you need for this Financial Analyst position?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountant or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting or FP&A experience
  • Must have experience with analyzing variances
  • Experience using a large accounting software ERP

What will you do in this Financial Analyst position?

  • Research, analyze, and explain financial drivers vs. prior year results for P&L accounts for North and Latin American markets
  • Financial reporting, packages, and pro formas
  • Analyze monthly GL results for accuracy of explanations provided for all P&L variances
  • Aid with GL chart field and maintenance related to reporting
  • Pull aggregate data to form complete analysis to make suggestions for improvement
  • Become a SME for P&L statement accounts
  • Work on special projects
